Teresa McMillan

North Mesquite High School Girls Basketball, Class of 1988

Teresa McMillan exemplified what it meant to be a standout student-athlete at North Mesquite High School. She earned the title of 1985-86 Sophomore of the Year, excelling both on the basketball court and in the classroom, served as president of the German Club, participated in Drama Club, and earned a place on the 1988 Principal’s Council of Honor. Reaching First Team All-District her junior and senior years, she was highly recruited and ultimately decided to attend Texas Tech University to continue her athletic career at the collegiate level. There, she earned All-Southwest Conference recognition twice and was named Southwest Conference Player of the Week on three occasions. Following her collegiate career, McMillan continued playing professionally with the Brazilian club Lacta Santo Andre.
