For generations of Mesquite ISD athletics fans, the voice of Steve Glenn has been synonymous with Friday night lights and countless memorable moments. In 2021, Glenn celebrated 50 years of service to Mesquite ISD, a legacy that spans classrooms, campuses, administrative leadership, and the broadcast booth. Alongside longtime broadcast partner Ed Johnson, Glenn has called more than 2,000 Mesquite ISD athletic contests on KEOM, becoming one of the most recognizable voices in district history. He began his career teaching and coaching at Agnew Middle School and Mesquite High School before moving into administration, serving as assistant principal at Poteet High School, principal of Wilkinson Middle School, and later as an administrative officer at the Mesquite ISD Central Office.

Throughout his educational career, Glenn remained dedicated to promoting student-athletes and school programs through broadcasting. He has produced and hosted The Sports Page, a weekday sports radio program on KEOM, and in 2021 marked his 36th season as a member of the KEOM broadcast team covering Mesquite ISD athletics. His commitment to students, schools, and the community has made him a beloved and enduring ambassador for Mesquite ISD athletics.
