TARELL BROWN
North Mesquite High School Football, Class of 2003
From winning a national championship at the University of Texas to playing in Super Bowl XLVII with the San Francisco 49ers, Tarell Brown has achieved success at the highest levels of football while remaining deeply committed to his hometown community. A former All-District defensive back at North Mesquite High School, Brown spent 10 seasons in the NFL and consistently returned to Mesquite to invest in the next generation. Each summer, he hosted a free football camp for local youth alongside fellow professional athletes, providing instruction, encouragement, and inspiration to aspiring players. Through partnerships with Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church, Brown also supported families with back-to-school supplies and holiday meal giveaways. His commitment to service continues through speaking engagements with students and mentoring Mesquite ISD athletes. Brown further expanded his impact by founding Brown’s Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering young people through education, personal growth, and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.
