The 2006-07 Mesquite High School Boys Basketball Team put together a remarkable season, finishing with an impressive 29-6 overall record and advancing to the state semifinals. Coached by 2021 Mesquite ISD Hall of Honor inductee Gary Taylor, the Skeeters demonstrated exceptional talent and teamwork throughout a historic season that captured the attention of basketball fans across Texas. Ranked No. 6 in the state during their run, their success on the court solidified the team’s place as one of the standout basketball programs in Mesquite High School history and left a lasting legacy within Mesquite ISD athletics.
